All security licenses expire on November 30th of the even numbered years.
Requirements:
Security Company License - Submit renewal fee along with any changes to the corporate structure.
Unarmed Security Officer License: Submit renewal fee along with proof of 32 hours of Continuing Education if requested.
Armed Security Officers- Submit renewal fee along with proof of 32 hours of Continuing Education and proof of 16 hours ( 4 hours every 6 months ) of Armed Continuing Education. Armed officers are required to re-qualify every 6 months. If a licensee fails to complete the required 4 hours of training in any 6 month period. The officer must complete an additional 2 penalty hours.
It is now Unprofessional conduct for a licensee not to complete their Continuing Education by the renewal date.
It is also for a contract security company not to validate the Continuing Education program(s) used for re-certification.
